In Kitzbühel, master painter Niko Barisic and his team successfully completed the cinematic renovation of the interiors of a detached house with Brillux – in a place that is considered the “Hollywood of the Alps”.
For decades, the Kitzbühel mountains have been used as a backdrop for movies and TV series. The striking property, built on the slope, with its rustic wooden and natural stone facade actually already makes a camera-friendly impression from the outside.

The project, however, posed special challenges in terms of the product selection, because the single-family house, typical for the region, consists of almost 80 percent wood. The aim was to highlight the materials wood and stone, which also dominate the interiors, attractively. Aside from that, the client’s children played an important role in the planning: “They are still quite young. There was concern that the children could draw all over the walls. The surfaces should therefore be easy to clean. This should be considered during the renovation of the product build-up and, above all, the final coat of paint,” reports Niko Barisic.

Sedashine 991 was selected to be the “main character” of the project. There were many great reasons to choose the silk matt interior dispersion paint: first of all, it is ideal for painting ceilings and walls that need to be easy to clean. Moreover, it is free of solvents and plasticizers, making it ideal for all living areas, and is very easy to apply.

Briplast PowerFill 1891, Fiber Glass Filler Nonwoven 1560 and Lacryl Deep Penetrating Primer 595 were also used for the wall and ceiling surfaces.
In the end, the surfaces were painted with Sedashine in the color scheme specified by an interior designer. “With this product setup, we have created such a beautiful finish that we ourselves were surprised and delighted,” reports Barisic. The client’s family was also immediately thrilled after completion – a nice, happy ending for all those involved.
