The Zatoka Slonca vacation resort in Mielno is located just 600 meters from the Baltic coast in a popular tourist area offering many attractions. 20 cozy, fully equipped wooden houses beckon you to enjoy a family vacation. The houses each have a footprint of 75 square meters and were built to reflect the owner's unique requests and ideas. Two further buildings were created for the reception and a guest lounge. The vacation resort also offers ample leisure facilities with a swimming pool, playground and covered arbors.
The climate of the Baltic region is characterized by rainfall, salty air, wind, and strong sunlight, meaning that the facades of the wooden houses require the highest UV and weather protection. As a preventive protection against blue stain fungus, the colorless Wood Preservative Primer 250 was applied first of all. The top coat was applied with Topcoat 871, an emulsion paint that is highly weather resistant and offers good elasticity due to its bonding agent basis. The highly elastic coating does not embrittle and consequently achieves the best results over the long term.
At the same time, the color requirements could be optimally met with Topcoat 871: It offers the greatest freedom when it comes to design, as the color shade variety is unlimited and the decorative wooden structure is still protected. With subtle, unobtrusive color shades, such as a light gray blue and white, combined with an intense, powerful red, and a dark blue, a fresh overall impression was created.
The playground apparatus, also made from wood, required a glaze finish rather than a covering coating. Permanent Protection Woodstain 580 was chosen as this ensures extremely weather resistant coatings in the natural color of the wood.
