The family business Ayverdi's in Zürich pursues a premium philosophy that clearly stands out from the fast-food image of the usual kebab restaurants. The high culinary standard is to be reflected in the original and elegant atmosphere of the restaurants. "The aim when renovating the Wiedikon restaurant was to show the kebab theme in a completely new light," explains Roberto Cazzato. The master painter took on the job as a subcontractor of the Zürich painting company Emil Hirt.

"I thought it was brave how the Ayverdi brothers wanted to design the restaurant. And Creativ Sentimento 78 from Brillux was the ideal product for implementing the high demands on the design of the surfaces," says Cazzato. He used samples to make the concept palatable to his customers. He produced these with Creativ Sentimento in the selected color tones and the intended processing technique in sizes of 60 x 60 centimeters, so that the effect of the desired concrete look could be assessed directly on the wall on site. When it came to implementation, there were still a few challenges to overcome: "The surfaces in the restaurant were already very large, sometimes four meters high and around eight to ten meters long. It is important that the entire surface looks the same in the end - without lighter or darker areas," explains Cazzato.

His experience in processing special mineral products such as Creativ Sentimento - and a coordinated approach within the team - helped him in particular: "You have to apply the product quickly, without pauses in between. We worked in pairs: one person did the upper part of the wall, the other the lower part. Our aim was, of course, that the edges and transitions between the two work areas should not be visible at the end and that the concrete look should be flawless. Creativ Sentimento is a really great product and it's fun to work with."
