What could be a better design for the facade of a movie theater than one that shows the tricks of illusion and perspective? The creator skillfully plays with the angle of view of passersby, teasing the hidden yet urban location of the movie theater in Enschede.
From a certain point in the setting, the exciting interplay between red lines and distorted blue circles opens up to an abstract graphic. It is easy to imagine these passersby seeking this place out, to finish this graphical game of hide and seek. It cannot have been an easy task, technically speaking, to apply the paint, while working across rain gutters, window frames and two different houses. A playful, surprising piece of work.
