In the NÖ Pflege- und Betreuungszentrum Stockerau (Stockerau care home), a total of 109 residents are supported individually, with therapy and high-quality care. The architecture of the modern, multi-story timber building is based on the idea of envisaging it like an ark or a ship providing harbor. The care home was constructed in 2006, somewhat like a large boat being brought into dock. As the first three-story solid wood building complex in Lower Austria, the building was awarded the NÖ Wood Building Prize 2007.
The approx. 1,500 square meter, beechwood clad facade was upgraded more than twelve years after construction, and it has now received a renovation coat. The 871 Top Coat in Protect quality – for long-term protection against algae and fungi – resulted in a UV- and weather-protected coating in an intense dark red, which creates a dynamic appearance for the nursing home. The red color shade was the original RAL 3013, in tomato red. With its excellent color stability, the Top Coat 871 ensures that the red is retained over the long term and that the "Arche Stockerau" facade will thus retain its beautiful appearance in the long term. It stands out from its surroundings and truly catches the eye.
